Hamilton College opened its season with an 8-1 non-conference win against Le Moyne College at Gray Tennis Courts on Sept. 13.

 

Drew Libin ’12 recorded a 6-0, 6-3 win at first flight singles. Jordan Petit ‘13 (6-4, 6-2) Mike Moreno ‘11 (6-1, 6-0) and Peter Erwin ‘11 (6-3, 6-3) also posted straight set wins at third, fifth and sixth singles, respectively. It was Petit’s first collegiate win. Jon Franzel '13 earned his first collegiate victory with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) win in the second spot.

 

Hamilton (1-0 overall) defeated Le Moyne (0-2) in all three doubles flights. At first flight, Libin and Franzel teamed up for an 8-3 win. Petit and Moreno posted an 8-2 win at second flight. At third flight, Coby Berman '12 and Erwin picked up an 8-3 win.

 

The Continentals next travel to St. Lawrence University for its Fall Classic on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19 and 20.
