Two Hamilton teams competed at the Finger Lakes Regional Mock Trial Tournament on Feb. 14 and 15. There were 23 teams at the tournament from Central New York including Cornell, University of Buffalo, and Buffalo State, a team from Amherst College, and two teams from Penn State. Hamilton placed fourth at the competition and will advance to the next round of competition called Opening Round Championship Series in Easton, Pa.
Hamilton's team included Casey Green '09, Stuart Lombardi '09, Larry Allen '09, Teddy McBride '10, Evan Klondar '11, Andrew Quinney, '11, Antonia Farzan '11, Caitlyn Tuten-Rhodes '12, and Julia Goldstein '12.
Several members of the two teams received individual awards. All region lawyer awards went to Dorian Bakogiannis '10 and Lombardi. All Region Witness Awards went to Noah Bishop '11 and Sam Gomez '11.
During the competition there were four trials with two judges in each trial. A perfect score is eight ballots. One Hamilton team finished with six wins, one loss, and one tie. The one loss and one tie were with the Cornell team in round three.
