Looking for a unique way to pursue your passion after graduation? A post-BA fellowship offers short-term experiences than enable recent grads to explore an academic, professional, or personal interest. Dani Forshay ’11 elected to pursue a Fulbright Fellowship based on her college experiences as an English major and Russian studies minor.

“I am currently working as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in the Siberian town of Gorno-Altaysk, Russia. I teach English classes at Gorno-Altaysk State University, including a writing class, a few literature classes, and a handful of conversation classes for both professors and students. I also run a weekly session to prepare students for an "Olympiada" (competition) in which they will have to debate a variety of topics in English. In addition to that, I offer two English Club sessions per week, as well as a third at a local high school with which I have become involved. Last semester, I had the opportunity to give several lectures on American history, culture, and education, as well as topics of my own choice, such as Jane Austen and the American food industry. When I am not teaching, I try to take as many trips as I can to other parts of the Altay Republic. I am so lucky to have been placed in such a beautiful and culturally fascinating corner of Russia!”
