Potsdam won its fourth straight game with a 9-5 victory over
Hamilton. It was the second-straight loss for the Continentals after a
season-opening victory. The Bears jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the first
quarter, but Hamilton closed within two at the end of three, 6-4. Potsdam
pulled away in the final minutes for the win. Jamie Schmidt led the way for the
Bears with three goals and Pete Stonecipher made 15 saves. Chris Mertz and Bob
Hawkanson paced Hamilton with two goals apiece and Mike Bumiller and Rob
Strelick combined to make 20 saves.
