Rensselaer, ranked 23rd in the nation in Division III, scored
three second-half goals to blank Hamilton. The Engineers had the wind at their
backs in the second stanza and the strong breeze played a factor in all three
scores. The first came with 41:08 remaining as Aaron Crews scored on a corner
kick that hit the post and two Hamilton players before finally crossing the
goaline. Andrey Oks scored off another corner from Crews at 31:52. Rensselaer
put the game away at 8:25 as goalkeeper Brian Dauskurdas launched the ball
across nearly three-quarters of the field to Karl Schult, who beat Hamilton
keeper Brian Barker with a low blast. Barker finished with seven saves for the
Continentals, while Dauskurdas made three stops for Rensselaer.
