Associate Professor of Hispanic Studies Joana Sabadell-Nieto was an invited respondent and served as a member of the advisory committee at the International Association of Hispanic Women’s Literature and Culture conference (AILCFH) Oct. 19-21 at the University of Barcelona.

Sabadell-Nieto also organized a plenary session on culture and body writing titled “...Y yo que había leído todos los libros...” (“...When I thought I had read all of the books…”) with poets in all of the four national languages of Spain -- Itxaro Borda (Euzkera), Mireia Calafell (Catalan), María do Cebreiro (Galician) and Chantal Maillard (Spanish).
