Student Assembly’s Social Traditions Committee hosted a successful Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 10, on the Clinton Village Green. Many local families turned out on a beautiful autumn afternoon for activities and entertainment.

Hamilton a capella groups Special K and Duelly Noted kicked off the day performing several songs each in the gazebo on the Green. Alpha Chi Lambda hosted a table where children could paint and decorate cutout stick figures to represent themselves.

Gamma Xi hosted a fish toss game and Alpha Theta Xi hosted a bake sale for donations to support Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Ellie Ducommun ‘16, a co-head of the Social Traditions committee, said Philanthropy Committee volunteers helped Social Traditions Committee facilitate several games including ring toss, bozo buckets, Halloween twister and face painting. . “Many of our student volunteers commented on how fun it was to interact with local families and community members while they ran the activities,” said Ducommun.

Bon Appetit Catering provided fall food including chili, corn chowder, Half Moon cookies, cider and hot chocolate. The Social Traditions Committee would like to thank Noelle Niznik and Theresa Gallagher in the Student Activities Office as well as the staff from Bon Appetit and Physical Plant who helped them make Fall Fest a huge success.
