The Department of Theatre & Dance will present its spring dance concert on Friday and Saturday, March 7 and 8, at 8 p.m. in Wellin Hall. Works by Hamilton dance faculty Leslie Norton and Bruce Walczyk and guest choreographer Elise Morte will be featured. Admission is $3 for students and $5 for adults.
This exciting program opens with Leslie Norton's moving ballet 'Roots and Wings' and includes the poetry of Rilke, Stevens and many others. Professor Walczyk's 'The Slave trader's Daughter' opens the second half of what is sure to be the dance concert of the year. Visiting choreographer Elise Monte's 'Pigs and Fishes' was commissioned by world renown dancer/choreographer Alvin Ailey.
