Talk radio personality and Jewish philosopher Dennis Prager will speak on Monday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 p.m., in the Hamilton College Chapel. His talk will be based on his most recent book, Happiness Is a Serious Problem. The event is free and open to the public.

Named by Los Angeles' influential Buzz magazine as one of the 10 most powerful people in Los Angeles, Prager is well-known for his religion-based commentaries on the meaning of life.

Prager also addresses some of the most challenging political, social, philosophical and religious questions of our time in his quarterly journal, Ultimate Issues, which reaches more than 20,000 readers worldwide.

He is the author of Why the Jews? The Reason for Anti-Semitism, and co-author of The Nine Questions People Ask About Judaism, the most widely used introduction to Judaism in the world. In Happiness Is a Serious Problem: A Human Nature Repair Manual, Prager provides his readers with the tools they need to make happiness a reality in their lives. He argues that when happiness is treated as seriously as some of life's other tasks, it immediately becomes more tangible, and hence, achievable.

The Los Angeles Times wrote, "Dennis Prager is an amazingly gifted man and charismatic moralist whose mission in life has already been crystallized: to get people obsessed with what's right and wrong."

Prager's visit to Hamilton is sponsored by Hillel, the Office of the President and the Root-Jessup Public Affairs Council.
