Three Hamilton College men's lacrosse players were honored by the Liberty League on March 22 when the league selected its weekly award winners.

Jon Leanos '12 (Long Valley, N.J./Delbarton School) was a co-offensive performer of the week selection, Garrett Akie '12 (Sherborn, Mass./Dover-Sherborn Regional HS) picked up a co-defensive performer of the week award and Paul Armideo '13 (Homer, N.Y./Homer Senior HS) captured co-rookie of the week honors as Hamilton won both its games last week.

Leanos scored six goals and assisted on four others. He established career highs with five goals and eight points in a 15-3 win against Sewanee at Duke University in Durham, N.C., on March 17.

Akie stopped eight of the 10 shots he faced in 80 minutes that covered parts of two games. He made four saves in his first collegiate start against Sewanee, and didn't allow any goals in the first half of a 9-5 win at Lasell College on March 20.

Armideo racked up three goals and five assists in the two wins last week. He is among the team's leaders with 10 points this year.

The Continentals (3-0 overall) travel to Drew University in Madison, N.J., for a non-league game on Wednesday, March 24. Hamilton returns home on Saturday, March 27, to face Cazenovia College in more non-league action.
