Nearing the end of a semester studying the American presidency, students in the Program in Washington went right to the source on April 18 with a visit to Mount Vernon, the home of President George Washington.
Students arrived by boat after the 16-mile trip down the Potomac on a brilliant spring day. Highlights of the visit included the mansion with its panoramic view of the Potomac, Washington's tomb, the gardens and greenhouse, and the museum and education center.
