Jon Frederic West, lecturer in music performance, is performing the part of the “Sprecher” in the Gurre-Lieder by Arnold Schoenberg with the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, in Bilbao, Spain, with Günter Neuhold conducting.  This is a new role for West, who will appear in four performances.

West will also perform in a new production of Tristan und Isolde by Richard Wagner at the Opera de Nice in Nice, France. He will sing and act the title role in four performances that will be directed by the renowned stage director Hans Peter Lehman and conducted by Sir Richard Armstrong.
