Former Hamilton College women’s lacrosse star Kaillie Briscoe '09 has been named an umpire for the 2013 Women's World Cup as announced by the Federation of International Lacrosse.

The 2013 World Cup will be held in Oshawa, Ontario, which is located near Toronto, from July 11 through July 20. Briscoe is from Orangeville, Ontario.

Briscoe – the Hamilton women's lacrosse program's all-time leader in goals (206), assists (134) and points (340) – was a two-time All-American at attack. She received first team honors in 2008 and third team honors in 2009. Briscoe made the all-region first team all four years. She helped lead the Continentals to three NCAA championship appearances, including the Division III title in 2008, and the national semifinals in 2009.

Briscoe is currently a women’s lacrosse assistant coach at Smith College in Northampton, Mass. Before she joined the staff at Smith, Briscoe spent one year as an assistant coach with the Hamburg Warriors club team in Germany.
