Hamilton College finished 19th of 29 entries in the collegiate eights at the Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River in Boston on Oct. 23.

Race conditions were cloudy with occasional showers and 5-to-10 mph winds.  Temperatures were in the 50s early, and climbed into the 60s later on.

Williams College won the collegiate eights, covering the 5-kilometer course in 16 minutes, 57.498 seconds.  Bates College finished second in 17:18.510, and Grand Valley State University was third in 17:22.285.  Hamilton crossed the line in 18:39.264.

Kerri Lloyd '15 was coxswain for the Continentals.  The rest of the boat included Leah Sorenson '14 at stroke, Virginia Slattery '12 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Katie Peterson '12, Dom Paiement '12, Allie Hoeltzel '14, Erin Gerrity '15, Fiona Hoffman-Harland '13 and Keara Fenzel '14.

Hamilton travels to Philadelphia for the Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday, Oct. 29.
