Hamilton College competed in a scrimmage with Colgate University on Lake Moraine in Hamilton, N.Y., on Oct. 10.
 
Hamilton’s novice eight “A” entry finished first on the 4,000-meter course in 15 minutes, 21 seconds. Colgate took second with a time of 15:37, and Hamilton’s “B” entry finished third in 17:58.
 
In the varsity eight race, Colgate finished first with a time of 14:22. Hamilton’s “A” entry took second in 14:47, followed by the Continentals’ “B” boat in third in 15:05.
 
Sophie Breen '12 was coxswain for the varsity eight “A” boat. The rest of the lineup included Christine Raia '10 at stroke, Alice Dannenberg '11 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Allison Boyaris '12, Erika Desmond '12, Liza Ruemelin '12, Catherine Prescott '12, Virginia Slattery '12 and Helen Quigley '10.
 
Laura Boynton '12 was coxswain for the varsity eight “B” entry. The rest of the lineup included Kendall Scott '10 at stroke, Haley Peterson '11 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Spencer Gulbronson '12, Eban Lewis '11, Holly Bailey '12, Katie Peterson '12, Katya Adair '10 and Izzy Cannell '11.
 
Kelsey Burke '13 was coxswain for the novice eight “A” boat. The rest of the lineup included Rachel Johnson '13 at stroke, Bailey in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Riley Smith '12, Susannah Parkin '13, Helen Higgins '13, Livy Houston '13, Fiona Hoffman-Harland '13 and Catherine Florea '11.
 
Anisha Bhanot '13 was coxswain for the novice eight “B”. The rest of the lineup included Alex Orlov '13 at stroke, Alexandra Nasto '13 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Maggie Lavoie '13, Iris Greenquist '13, Arielle Berti '13, Ellen Doernberg '13, Cara Quigley '13 and Danielle Lashley '13.
 
Hamilton next competes at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston on Oct. 17 and 18.
