Bowdoin College received two second-half goals just two minutes apart, and Maddie Lane stopped all eight shots she faced to lead the Polar Bears to a 2-0 win over Hamilton College in a NESCAC game at Bowdoin's Pickard Field on Oct. 15.

Ellery Gould netted her team-high ninth goal of the year for Bowdoin (5-3-3 overall, 1-3-3 NESCAC).  Toni DaCampo also scored, and Becky Stoneman and Amanda Kinneston each added an assist.

After a scoreless first half, Bowdoin got on the board in the 58th minute with a goal by Gould.  Stoneman played a through ball to Gould behind the Hamilton defense, and Gould put the ball in the lower left corner of the net.

DaCampo doubled Bowdoin's lead two minutes later when she found a through pass from Kinneston in the center of the field and put the ball into the lower left corner of the net for her second goal of the year.

Hamilton (6-6-0, 4-4) goalkeeper Liza Gergenti '14 stopped three shots.  Lane earned her first shutout of the year for Bowdoin.

The Continentals held an 11-8 shot advantage, and took three corner kicks to Bowdoin's two.  This was the first meeting between the two programs.

Hamilton travels to Colby College for another NESCAC game on Sunday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m.
