Hamilton College lost 6-3 to Connecticut College in a New England Small College Athletic Conference match in Orlando, Fla., on March 16.
At first flight singles, Deb Barany ’11 defeated her opponent by scores of 4-6, 6-4, and 10-8 in a champions tie-breaker. Laura Brantley ’10 earned a win for Hamilton (2-3 overall, 0-1 NESCAC) at second flight. Brantley's match also went to a champions tie-breaker, 5-7, 6-2, (10-8).
In doubles, the team of Barany and Amelia Mattern ’12 defeated their Conn. College opponents, 8-1, at third flight.
Hamilton will continue its spring break matches against Dickinson College on Wednesday, March 17.
