Women's tennis falls twice in NESCAC action

The Hamilton College Continentals dropped two NESCAC road matches on March 8 and 9.

Bates results

Hamilton (4-2, 0-2 NESCAC) was blanked 9-0 at Wesleyan University on Saturday and lost 6-3 at Bates College on Sunday. The Continentals were playing their first matches since the fall.

The Bates match was played indoors at Merrill Indoor Gymnasium. Hamilton's Bella Schoning '16 won both her singles and her doubles match against the Bobcats. Schoning captured a 6-4, 6-2 victory at second flight singles and teamed up with Winnie Tang '17 for an 8-2 triumph at second doubles. Schoning improved to 23-7 all-time in singles play with the Continentals.

Rachel Friedman '15 picked up the other team point for Hamilton. Friedman was a 4-6, 6-2, 10-5 winner at fifth flight singles and is 5-1 in singles play this season.

The Continentals host Rochester Institute of Technology for a non-conference match on Saturday, March 15.
