Hamilton College defeated University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and was edged by Carthage College in non-conference matches played in Orlando, Fla., on March 18.

Hamilton (2-3 overall) was playing its first matches in Florida during spring break. The Continentals take on Calvin College for another non-conference match on Monday, March 19.

Hamilton defeated Wisconsin-Oshkosh 6-3 on Sunday morning as the Continentals swept the doubles matches. The Titans (7-5) are ranked 20th in the Central Region by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Carthage (8-3), which is located in Wisconsin, defeated Hamilton 5-4 on Sunday afternoon.

Sara Shaughnessy '14 won both of her fourth flight singles matches in straight sets. Shaughnessy paired with Liz Detwiler '15 to win 8-4 against Oshkosh at third flight doubles.

Aislinn Shea '13 swept her two singles matches in straight sets at sixth flight. Amelia Mattern '12 was a 7-5, 4-6, (10-5) winner against Carthage at fifth flight. Alex Arenson '13 prevailed 6-2, 7-6 against Oshkosh at second flight.

Carrie Uhlein '15 and Mira Khanna '15 collected two victories at second flight doubles. Meg Lee '14 and Arenson outlasted their Oshkosh opponents at first flight doubles, 9-7.
