Meredith Nuber '14 was selected to the all-tournament team, but Hamilton College dropped its final two matches at the SUNY Potsdam Victory Promotions Invitational on Sept. 11.

Hamilton (4-2 overall) had defeated Morrisville State College in three sets and Buffalo State College in five sets on Friday night. However, the Continentals didn't have as much luck on Saturday without 6-foot middle hitter Ally Martella '13. Martella left the Buffalo State match with an injury in the fourth set and didn't play at all Saturday.

Potsdam (3-5) swept Hamilton in three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-13. Nuber smashed a team-high eight kills. Brenna Corrigan '14 chipped in three kills, two aces and seven digs. Amanda Cohen '13 recorded two blocks and two aces, and Sarah Pfund '14 helped the defense with two blocks. Megan McCareins '14 served a team-high three aces and Cecelie Pikus '13 was credited with five assists.

Nuber hammered six kills and added six digs in a three-set loss against undefeated Clarkson University (8-0). The Golden Knights won by scores of 25-12, 25-6 and 25-15. Corrigan posted three kills and a team-high nine digs. Alyssa Hopper '13 passed out eight assists and Pikus had seven.

The Continentals travel to SUNY Institute of Technology for a non-conference match on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m.
