Recycling at Hamilton

What to Recycle at Hamilton

  • Newspaper and Inserts
  • Junk mail
  • Magazines and catalogues
  • Phone and paperback books
  • Brown grocery bags
  • Cardboard

Plastic

  • Containers with codes 1-5 or 7. Codes are generally located at the bottom of the container.
  • Beverage cartons (e.g. water, juice, or soda)
  • Soap & detergent containers

Metal

  • Aluminum food & beverage cans
  • Deposit cans
  • Aluminum foil
  • Aluminum plates & trays
  • Aerosol cans

Glass

  • Green, amber & clear containers
  • Canning jars
  • Deposit bottles
  • Liquor and wine bottles
  • Food & beverage containers
