The projects presented were developed throughout Lee’s year-long Instructional Technology Apprenticeship Program (ITAP) with Educational Technologist Benjamin Salzman ’14.

  • , the Winslow Professor of Classics, presented a lecture titled “From Mythology to Star Wars” at Sierra Nevada College in Lake Tahoe, Nev., then traveled to Albuquerque to discuss “Frankenstein, Aristotle, and the Wisdom of Lucretius” at the Southwest Popular/American Culture Association conference.

  • Hamilton students and faculty attended the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium Upstate New York Undergraduate Research Conference at Hobart William Smith College on Saturday, Sept. 20.

  • The New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium, of which Hamilton College is a member, has received a three-year $1.25 million grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to support an international initiative aimed at strengthening global education.  Other New York Six members are Colgate University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, St. Lawrence University, Skidmore College and Union College.

  • The Teagle Foundation of New York has awarded a $150,000 grant to the New York Six Liberal Arts Consortium (NY6) for the New York Six Blended Learning Project. This pilot project will engage faculty from the six-member campuses in the integration of blended or hybrid learning in new or existing courses. Classes will include face-to-face engagement combined with technology-based elements, such as online tutorials or modules, online journals, blogs, webinars, videos and group chats.
