  • Sarah Gloo (Orchard Park, NY) and Anthony Loeffler (Littleton, CO) have been named the 2001 Riffle Award recipients. The award is given out annually to the most outstanding senior athletes at Hamilton College. Gloo and Loeffler were honored at the 16th annual Riffle Dinner on Thursday evening.

  • Maggie Hanson (Bowdoinham,ME),a junior middle distance runner, was named the Indoor Runner of the Year by the New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC).

  • The men and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the NYSCTC Championships this past weekend at SUNY Fredonia. The women finished in fourth place overall, while the men were 10th.

  • The Hamilton College men's swimming and diving teams placed second at the 2001 NESCAC Swimming and Diving Championships with a score of 1,468. The competition wrapped up on Sunday, Feb. 25 with a host of Hamilton highlights.

  • Highlights of men's and women's basketball, men's hockey, women's swimming and diving, women's hockey and women's squash events for the week of February 18.

  • The Hamilton College (16-5, 9-3) men's basketball team defeated Hobart College (16-6, 10-2), 84-62 Tuesday at Scott Field House.

  • The men's basketball team defeated Middlebury College, 70-68 Tuesday at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. Kris Fudge broke a 66-66 tie on a bucket, despite being fouled, with 24 seconds remaining in regulation. He completed the three-point play giving Hamilton a 68-66 lead.
