Bret Olsen from the Mellon Foundation and Middlebury College's Center for Educational Technology will be on campus Thursday and Friday, May 22 and 23, to teach a Final Cut Pro workshop to Hamilton faculty interested in film and the use of film assignments in courses.  This workshop was limited to 11 participants and is full.

Final Cut Pro (FCP) is an advanced video editing application that allows extensive creative control over both video and audio.  It has a steeper learning curve than iMovie but compensates with its greater flexibility in video editing options.   While most course assignments involving video are easily accomplished with iMovie, creative original digital film projects may benefit from the use of this more sophisticated video editing tool.

Please contact mpc@hamilton.edu or call x5MPC if you have any questions about digital video resources for course assignments or professional development.

Help us provide an accessible education, offer innovative resources and programs, and foster intellectual exploration.
