  • The Atelier Four – Professors of Art Bruce Muirhead and William Salzillo, with Amy Buchholz ’80 and Jake Muirhead ’86 – have prints on display in a national exhibition at the Old Print Shop in New York City. The 79th Members Exhibition of the Society of American Graphic Artists is on display through June 29.

  • Jake Muirhead '86 recently had a solo exhibition, New Prints by Jake Muirhead, at The Old Print Gallery in Washington, DC. The show featured twenty still lifes and landscapes, which the Georgetowner called "captivating and elusive, like sensory memories, leaving the audience contemplating a strong and immediate intimacy with the works."

  • The Old Print Gallery in Washington, D.C. will present a solo exhibition by Jake Muirhead '86 beginning Nov. 11 with an opening reception from 5-8 p.m. New Prints by Jake Muirhead will feature over twenty etchings, aquatints, and drypoints, exploring landscapes and the human figure. The show runs to Jan. 23, 2012.

The five panelists of the Careers in Entrepreneurship event on Thursday, Sept. 22, epitomize careers based on a balance of passion and smart decision-making. These alumni shared their experiences and advice in a panel discussion sponsored by the Career Center.

  • Spencer Stuart, the international executive recruiting firm, has announced that Isvaldo Perez, Jr. '86 has joined the Dallas officer as a consultant in consumer goods and services and marketing officer practices. He will be responsible for recruiting senior-level executives for clients in the consumer packaged goods, consumer durables and retail industries.

  • Over the course of Reunions ’11 Weekend, speakers at 30 Alumni College events informed the more than 1,000 returning alumni and guests on a wide variety of topics, ranging from urban redevelopment to food allergies to healthcare to sustainable investments. Here are brief reports on six of those sessions.

  • Rich Vellante '86, executive chef and executive vice president of restaurants for Legal Seafoods, met with students and discussed “How a Hamilton College Experience Can Craft a Better Cup of Clam Chowder” on Oct. 7 as part of Fallcoming weekend activities. Vellante also visited the Community Farm Garden and 1812 Heritage Garden.

  • Melissa Joyce-Rosen '86 received the College’s Volunteer of the Year Award at a recognition dinner on Oct. 2 during Fallcoming activities. Joyce-Rosen served as president of Hamilton’s Alumni Association from 2003-2006.
