We find him puzzling

His day gig is as assistant professor of philosophy, and Russell Marcus is pretty good at it; in exactly eight months, in fact, he’ll be honored with the College’s John R. Hatch Excellence in Teaching Award, with one nominating student praising his “dedication, love of teaching and enthusiasm.” Outside the classroom, however, he’s the Puzzle Master, challenging all comers through campus email several times each year to grapple with complex problems in logic, all set on the Hill. For instance, Puzzle No. 2 this year: How can three students most efficiently transport three alumni from the Chapel to Sadove Student Center with one golf cart during Fallcoming? Complications, needless to say, ensue. Take on the Puzzle Master yourself at www.hamilton.edu/puzzles.
