Yumi Saito, a teaching fellow in Japanese, is particularly interested in the basic principles of effective Japanese language pedagogy, classroom teaching techniques, and the linguistic analysis of Japanese. She recently completed Teaching Associate Program in Japanese at Washington University in St. Louis.
Saito received her bachelor’s degree in humanities, with specialization in English language education, from Soka University. She earned her master’s in international business at Grenoble Ecole de Management in France. She worked as an intern at Japan's Official Development Assistance Agency and the United Nations's International Labour Organization in African and European countries.
