Amy Moser
Assistant Professor of Geosciences
Amy Moser is a geologist who studies how rocks and minerals preserve a record of plate tectonics across Earth history. Her research integrates field work, experiments, and laboratory analyses, including electron microscope imaging, X-ray techniques, and mass spectrometry. Moser’s recent work includes investigating the formation of the lower continental crust in the Italian Alps, high-pressure/high-temperature deformation experiments, and U-Pb geochronology of the mineral titanite. Prior to joining the faculty at Hamilton, Moser was a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a research associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
