Through the use of photography, video, performance art and artist’s books, Lorena Molina explores intimacy, pain and how we perceive the suffering of others. Her current project looks at cultural identity in liminal spaces. Molina was a recipient of the Diversity of Views and Experiences Fellowship and taught photography at University of Minnesota, Utica College, and Pratt Munson Williams. Molina was born in El Salvador and moved to Long Beach, Calif., at the age of 14. She received her master's of fine arts degree from the University of Minnesota in 2015 and her bachelor's degree from California State University, Fullerton, in 2012.
