Rick Montalbano, pianist, organist, composer and arranger, started his career in the early 1960’s and has performed with a long list of jazz greats from Lou Rawls and Chuck Mangione, to Phil Woods, Jaco Pastorius and Clark Terry. 

Montalbano travelled the country as pianist/conductor for singer Lou Rawls for several years. He currently plays solo piano at The Savoy in Rome, NY., performs with and contracts bands for the Showroom at the Turning Stone Casino. He is especially in demand as an accompanist, regularly backing up performers as diverse as Jane Monheit, Aretha Franklin, Bernadette Peters, Patti Page and Joe Piscopo. He has also played and recorded with The Syracuse Symphony and Symphoria.

Rick teaches jazz piano at Colgate University, Hamilton College and taught for more than 20 years at Syracuse University. He is the assistant director of the Central New York Jazz Orchestra and operates Earotica Records recording studio.
