Sarah Jacobs

Sarah Jacobs holds an M.F.A. in dance from UCLA and bachelor’s degree from Carleton College. She is also trained as a somatic movement educator with the School for Body-Mind Centering®. Jacobs has served as a lecturer at SUNY-Brockport and Scripps College, and spent eight years as a teacher trainer and over a decade teaching in K-12 schools and community arts programs.

She has made artistic homes in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, and most recently Rochester, N.Y. As a performer, Jacobs works across contemporary dance, physical theater, and embodied installation. Her own (often humorous) choreography is coming soon to a theater near you.  Jacobs served as administrative coordinator for Street Dance Activism's 2020 28-Day Global Dance Meditation for Black Liberation.
