Wren Vetens is an experimental particle physicist, whose research leverages high energy colliders to study fundamental physics at unprecedented energy scales. She comes to Hamilton from a postdoc at Syracuse University, where as a member of the LHCb collaboration she investigated the physics of heavy quark flavors and researched a variety of detector technologies for use in future high-luminosity experiments. While pursuing her doctorate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, she was a member of the CMS collaboration and led a search for exotic long-lived particles at the LHC, and worked on CMS's gaseous muon detector subsystem.
