The Theatre Department presents the fall production, Tragedy: a tragedy, by Will Eno, a one-of-a-kind play that skewers the modern news cycle while capturing the underlying human need to apply order to an increasingly absurd world.

Noelani Stevenson ’19 starts training for her new job in July. Exercises will include physical training, accent training, and combat training. By August, she will have improved her sword fighting, cockney accent, and fortunetelling abilities, preparing her for her job’s main event.

Government and theatre majors in hand, Niels Lesniewski ’07 launched his career in political journalism just in time for the 2008 financial crisis. After he took a job at Roll Call, in Washington, D.C., the first big Senate story he covered was the crash and the Troubled Asset Relief Program that was meant to stabilize the financial system and economy.

With classes, labs, theatre productions and other responsibilities, some days start at 9 a.m. and end 14 hours later for Kevin Herrera ’16. If Herrera isn’t the only geo-sciences/theatre double major you’ve ever heard of, he’s likely the most determined. He still has the first-year planner in which he meticulously listed the requirements for the wildly divergent majors. He’s en route to both. Herrera admits the combination isn’t easy to manage, but says he’s in the right place to make it happen. If you want a school “in which you can do almost anything you can imagine, there really is no better place,” he says about Hamilton College.
