There have been 21 presidents in Hamilton’s 212-year history — including the College’s newest leader, Steven Tepper. To mark his inaugural celebration on Sept. 28, 2024, we thought we’d share some highlights and interesting facts from inaugurations past.

On-again, off-again rain showers couldn’t put a damper on the bright spirits, as Hamilton alumni gathered for a memorable Reunion Weekend, June 6–9. More than 1,000 alumni, family, and friends returned to the Hill for reminiscing, traditions, and events galore.

When Professor of Art Bill Salzillo retires in June, it will mark more than the end of a productive 50-plus year career. The artist, teacher, and gallery director is the last member of the Hamilton faculty to have begun his tenure at Kirkland College.

More than 1,200 alumni, family and friends descended on the Hill to Party On, reconnect with old friends and make new memories at Reunions 2023, on June 8 to 11. Of special note, this year marked the largest Hamilton 50th Reunion class - with 82 registered.

Gillian Zucker ’90, president of business operations for the NBA’s LA Clippers, gave the address at Hamilton’s 210th commencement on Sunday, May 22, in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.

A high school teacher’s focus on the My Lai massacre inspired Carolyn York K’75 to eventually find her calling working for equal pay for women and people of color in the workplace. “He taught me to see the worth of every human being,” she says.
