  • Student writer and Untitled@Large theatre club member Alyssa Samuels ’25 shares her experiences producing the Suddenly the Musical, which debuted at Hamilton this spring. The Events Barn stage lights glowed brightly on April 27, illuminating the shapes of actors moving to the music and smiles from the audience surrounding them. Suddenly the Musical, an Australian show, was performed for the first time without its original cast at Hamilton. Produced by the student group Untitled@Large, the show was special not only for premiere status, but also because every step of its process signified a chance for student growth and accomplishment.

  • As the clock struck 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 23, a group of student theatre artists gathered to begin Untitled @ Large’s annual 24-Hour Theatre Festival. The 16 participants, who had registered in their preferred role -- director, playwright, or actor -- in advance, arrived on Friday evening to be sorted into groups and be presented with the year’s randomly selected theme. The weekend’s festival added the new twist of requiring each playwright to include a specific line in their original dialogues.

  • The Hamilton College departments of dance and theatre, the Hartford Players Youth Theater (HPTY) and Untitled @ Large will present two theatrical community productions, I Dream a World and Hometown Heroes on Wednesday, May 20, and Thursday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Blood Dance Studio in the Blood Fitness Center at Hamilton College.
