Two time Grammy nominee Bill Harley ’77 dazzled a large audience Saturday afternoon during the Alumni College event, "Songs & Stories for Everybody." For 90 minutes Harley thrilled the audience with his humorous songs and stories that left the youngest child to the oldest alumnus full of laughter. He performed fan favorites such as “Monsters in the Bathroom,” “Milky Way,” “Down in the Backpack” and many others.

Among the highlights of Reunion Weekend was the dedication of the Kirkland Marker on June 8. The marker was created to serve as "a tangible commemoration of the Kirkland experience." Designed and created by John von Bergen '63 and Ava Bromberg '02, the arch stands on the grass outside of McEwen Hall.

The Soper Commons was the site this past Thursday evening for a dinner honoring Tom Murphy and his tenure as athletic director at Hamilton College. About 200 guests attended the dinner, including nine former coaches and 20 former players. Jack Withiam '71, Christine Johnson and Bob Simon were the featured speakers as they reminisced about Coach Murphy's 22 years as the athletic director.

At the Kirkland Celebration at Hamilton on Saturday, June 8, special commemorative awards were bestowed on those individuals who have been leaders in continuously advocating for women’s education on College Hill and who have enthusiastically sustained Kirkland’s legacy for creativity, independence and experimentation. Since Hamilton and Kirkland combined nearly 25 years ago, the education offered to men and women on College Hill has been significantly enhanced, most notably by Kirkland’s emphases in the arts, curricular innovation and interdisciplinary study.
