Hamilton College competes in the 2015 NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center in Gold River, Calif., on Friday and Saturday, May 29 and 30.

Hamilton's nationally ranked No. 4 varsity 8 and the Continentals' second varsity 8 will be racing this weekend. Hamilton is making its first appearance in the NCAA women's rowing championships.

Eight teams compete in the varsity 8, including five NESCAC schools, and six boats will race in the second varsity 8. The Continentals' second varsity 8 is in a heat with Bates College and Wellesley College at 8:30 a.m. local time (11:30 a.m. in New York). Hamilton's varsity 8 is in a heat with Bates, Wellesley and Washington College (Md.) at 8:50 a.m. local time.

The Continentals' varsity 8 raced against five other teams that are in California this weekend in the grand final at the Eastern College Athletic Conference National Invitational Rowing Championships in Worcester, Mass., on May 10. Hamilton finished fourth behind Bates, Williams College and Trinity College, and ahead of Tufts University and Wellesley. Washington was fourth in the petite final.
