Thirty-five Hamilton College seniors were inducted into Phi Sigma Iota, the international foreign language honor society, on April 28.

The inductees are: Christopher Abram, Anna Blabey, Julia Brooks-Miller, Andrew Connor, Lauren Dentone, James Downey, Megan Drumm, Sarah Falvey, Taylor Fleming-Henning, Charles Francis, Alexandra Geertz, Alison Gunther, Sara Heindorf, Jonathan Jordan, Jessica Kent, Alexandra Koerte, Jennifer Kostka, Sarah McDermott,Sarah McNeil, Christina Mitsakos, Amanda Murphy, Thu Nguyen, Ross Nhin, Joanne Pho, Doreet Preiss, Elizabeth Rabe, Jocelyn Ross, Jakub Sroubek, Maud Terraillon, Elisabeth Thayer, Erin Turcot, Adina Unguras, Alison Weeks, Rong Ling You and Gregory Zalasky.                       
                       
Phi Sigma Iota recognizes outstanding ability and high standards of students and faculty of foreign languages, literatures and cultures (including classics, linguistics, philology, comparative literature ESL, bilingual education, and second language acquisition). It is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages.  Phi Sigma Iota has initiated over 50,000 members since its foundation in 1917, and it has created and supports numerous scholarship programs.
