At Hamilton Sarah Perdomo '12 wove her passions – cinema, media, comparative literature, religious studies and art – into a cohesive major that helped her take the next step: a graduate degree in early childhood education at Boston University.
It wasn't a straight shot. When she first left Hamilton, Perdomo worked for a production company but missed being around academics, realizing she wanted to teach or work around children. With that knowledge, she applied to graduate school.
“My career hope at the moment is to combine all of my academic and life experiences into my dream job of writing children’s literature and possibly working to produce children’s television or movies,” Perdomo says. “I want to take all of this knowledge about literature and film and how children think and grow and put it all together to give children rich and fun materials to help them throughout development.”
