Lissette Acosta Corniel

In recognition of her professional achievements and philanthropy, Scholar-in-Residence and Lecturer in Africana Studies Lissette Acosta Corniel was recently honored with the New Jersey Thomas H. Kean Outstanding Equal Opportunity Fund (EOF) Alumni Award for 2016. It was presented at the 42nd Spring Conference of the Executive Board of the Educational Opportunity Fund Professional Association of New Jersey (EOFPANJ) held March 29-April 1 in Atlantic City.

Created by the EOFPANJ, the award recognizes outstanding EOF alumni who have demonstrated exceptional achievements during their college and professional careers and who demonstrate the spirit and intent of opportunity programs.

Acosta Corniel was admitted into college through the EOF program at the age of 15.
