The Alumni Council has nominated three candidates to serve as members of Hamilton's board of trustees. They are George D. Baker, Jr. '74, Torrence D. Moore '92 and Nancy Roob '87. In addition, two petition candidates have been accepted onto the ballot - Peter D. Brown '73 and Ben S. Wu '73. Each alumni trustee to be elected will serve a four-year term beginning on July 1, 2007.
GEORGE D. BAKER, JR. '74
(Nominated by Alumni Council) — A government major and president of the Student Senate at Hamilton, George earned a J.D. degree in 1977 from Catholic University. He is a founding partner of the Washington, D.C., law and lobbying firm of Williams & Jensen. George served as president of the Alumni Council from 2000-03 and is the current vice chair of the Annual Fund. Other Hamilton activities have included chair, 25th reunion planning committee and 30th reunion gift committee; president, Washington, D.C., Alumni Association; host in Washington of faculty seminars, Rising Star luncheons, phonathons and planning meetings; Annual Fund class agent; and WAVE and Career Center volunteer. George lives in Bethesda, Md.
TORRENCE D. MOORE '92
(Nominated by Alumni Council) — Torrence majored in economics at Hamilton and was a member of the track and field team, rugby team, HEOP and BLSU. The vice president and manager of LaSalle Community Development in Chicago, Torrence has served on the Alumni Council Executive Committee, heading up efforts by and for Hamilton's multicultural alumni. Other volunteer positions have included Chicago WAVE chair, reunion gift committee and ACEP member, and class notes correspondent. He is a resident of South Holland, Ill.
NANCY ROOB '87
(Nominated by Alumni Council) — A comparative literature major, Nancy earned the James Soper Merrill Prize at her Hamilton graduation. She received her master's in public administration at the Kennedy School at Harvard in 1991. Currently Nancy serves as president of the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, which supports nonprofit groups that provide young people from low-income backgrounds with quality programs during out-of-school time. She also has visited Hamilton to educate students and faculty members about social justice issues, particularly about writing and fundraising for social change. Nancy, who lives in Sag Harbor, N.Y., is the daughter of Richard Roob '53.

(Nominated by Petition) — Peter majored in geology and was a member of Emerson Literary Society and the Outing Club at Hamilton. He is a regional institutional portfolio manager for Victory Capital Management, a subsidiary of KeyCorp. His brother is J. Hunter Brown '76. Peter and his wife Anne Levenson Brown K'74 reside in Anchorage, Alaska.
BEN S. WU '73
(Nominated by Petition) — A psychology major and member of Emerson Literary Society at Hamilton, Ben received his M.B.A. from Emory University in 1975 and his J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law in 1989. He is executive vice president of Aina Services and lives in Laguna Beach, Calif. He participates in the Los Angeles Alumni Council Association planning committee.
In accordance with Article 8 of the Constitution of the Alumni Association, alumni may submit additional nominations for alumni trustee by petition, each of which requires at least 25 signatures of association members.
