A former educator, Dafoe has earned multiple national awards for her writing, including the “Pirate’s Alley Faulkner Society Writing Award.” She writes across genres including poetry, educating and writing help books, and a memoir. You Enter a Room is her first published novel, an upmarket “murder mystery with a number of genre-bending twists.”
