Associate Professor of Religious Studies Abhishek Amar was invited to speak at a Harvard symposium titled “TRACE: Artisanal Intelligence, Material Agency, and Ritual Technology in South Asian Art” on Dec. 7 - 8.
Amar's paper, “Rematerialization and History-Making in the Magadha Region,” investigated the role of material agency and ritual reuse of early medieval sculptures and temples in imagining new histories in India.
