Fred Breglia

The Hamilton College Arboretum’s 2018-19 Saturday Speaker series continues with Fred Breglia, executive director of Landis Arboretum, on Saturday, Jan. 26. He will present “Plant Health Care: The Most Recent in Pruning, Planting and Mulching,” at 10 a.m. in the Taylor Science Center’s Kennedy Auditorium. The lecture will focus on developing and maintaining healthy plants so they become less susceptible to problems. The event is free and open to the public.

A certified, award-winning arborist, Breglia has more than 26 years of experience in the green industry. Breglia is a recognized speaker on both campuses and radio shows. His most frequented radio show, WAMC’s Vox Pop Radio Show, even nicknamed him “Tree Man,” affirming his legacy within the Capital District.

Parking is available near the building. All Arboretum events are free and open to the public, and everyone interested in gardens and landscapes is encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is not required.
