As a volunteer mentor for Chancellor’s Scholars at the University of California, San Diego, Professor of French Emeritus John C. O’Neal was recently invited to participate in a panel titled “From Dream to Reality.”
Chancellor’s Scholars are students on full scholarship and the first in their families to attend college. The panel was designed to encourage this distinguished cohort, most of whom are majoring in STEM, to consider the benefits and rewards of the arts and humanities.
