Author Annie Hartnett ’08 will read from her debut novel Rabbit Cake on Wednesday, March 6, at 4 p.m., at the Dwight Lounge, Bristol Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Rabbit Cake follows Elvis Babbitt as she tries to figure out her life after the death of her mother. The novel was featured in People Magazine’s Book of Week and won Best Book of the Year at Kirkus Reviews, Chicago Review of Books, Minnesota Public Radio, and Book Riot.

Hartnett is a fellow of the MacDowell Colony and writer-in-residence for the Associates of the Boston Library. She also holds an MFA from the University of Alabama.
