Barbara Gold

Barbara Gold, the Edward North Professor of Classics and Greek Literature Emerita, was recently interviewed about her book Perpetua: Athlete of God (Oxford University Press, 2018). The audio interview was featured by New Books Network in a “New Books in Biography” podcast.

Gold discussed her interest in early Christianity and specifically, her research on Perpetua, a famous Christian martyr who died in the third century.
