
Ian Berry, consulting director for the Emerson Gallery, will present a talk on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. in the gallery. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, will focus on Ai Weiwei's work titled Fairytale.
To create his vast installation and performance work, Weiwei brought 1,100 people from China to the Documenta 12 exhibition in Kassel, Germany. The Emerson exhibit presents video footage and objects from Fairytale. Weiwei served as a design consultant for the Bird's Nest, the Olympic Stadium in Beijing.
