The Black and Latinx Student Union held its second annual Day of Service on Saturday, Nov. 10. BLSU gathered 17 of its members to volunteer at two local Hamilton community partner organizations: Hope House and Sculpture Space.
BLSU is committed to fostering a sense of community engagement and consciousness among its members. This event was an opportunity for students to become more involved in the local community of Utica, and more acquainted with the people who call it home. BLSU seeks to build on this tradition of outreach by hosting future days of service for its membership, in pursuit of our goal to be a community-minded organization just as much as we are a multicultural one.
