Director of International Student Services Omobonike Odegbami recently published a book review in “GSLR 2025: Revisiting Place in International Education,” an issue of the Global Studies Literature Review (GSLR). The issue focuses on topics from June’s NAFSA 2025 Annual Conference & Expo in San Diego, in which she presented.
Odegbami’s review of The Power of Place: Authentic Learning Through Place-Based Education, co-authored by Tom Vander Ark, Emily Liebtag, and Nate McClennen, appears in a section titled “Rooted in Learning: Authenticity in Education.”
Odegbami also published two cases in Case Studies in International Education (CSIE), Issue #6(1) – “Navigating CPT Challenges: Institutional Policy vs. Immigration Regulations” and “Sanctuary Campuses and International Students: The Legal and Institutional Tensions of Immigration Protection in Higher Education,” which was co-authored by Omojomiloju (Jomi) Ogunfiditimi.
CSIE, an open access, online, peer-reviewed publication, presents case studies designed for use as professional development tools and include discussion questions to “integrate theory and practice through interdisciplinary analysis/insight for the benefit of the field’s future growth.”
